Breakfast

"Aylah what else do you want to eat?"
"Mmm. Probably some cold beans."
"Some what?"
"Cold beans."
"Green beans?"
"Yup."
"Ok."

That's the way our day started today. So I got up, found some cold green beans and served them to my veggie loving 3 year old for breakfast. The perfect combination, green beans and Kix. :)

Aylah, Macy and I went to Holland to visit my parents for a week. So far the girls have loved being outside every chance they get. We have taken multiple wagon rides around the neighborhood and Aylah is learning how to ride her bike. (She has trouble peddaling and steering) So I guess we more push her around than she rides, but she'll catch on. We have also been to the beach and played in the water and sand. Grandpa bought a slip-n-slide, which would have been a bigger hit but I think the water was a little too cold. We'll try again tomorrow. And we have a cool little sprinkler head that the girls like to spray each other with.

We also went to the Critter Barn yesterday. Macy liked the animals and was intrigued by them. Aylah, on the other hand, went into a room with lots of bunnies and freaked out! She said, "I don't want them by me mommy! I want to go home! I don't want to be by them!" So we exited quickly and found a nice sunny spot on the grass by the roosters and sheep. I thought it was a safe location but then the roosters started crowing, Aylah screamed, and we went over and stood by the car. Our little city girl.... I hope she isn't scared of animals forever!

Today my friend Katie is coming to visit and I think there is a trip to Captain Sundae in store! Yummmy! I will try and put up some pictures before we leave.

Josh is in the middle of a long week at work doing Job Fair. If you think of him, shoot him an email or something. This week is when they hire all of the teen staff for the summer and next school year. It's a huge event, takes lots of energy and lots of time. But I think he is starting to miss his ladies ;) even though he is working a lot.

One more update, Macy is picking up words left and right at a feverish pace! Lots more than what Aylah knew at this age. Some of her favorites of this week are: doggie, lunch, wagon, grandpa, grandma, beach, bubbles, and bike. She's getting so big...
