Going Home

Well, tomorrow we are going home to New Jersey. We had a wonderful time in Michigan. We've been to Traverse City, Muskegon, Holland, and Lansing. We got to see lots of people we love and lots of friends we haven't seen in while. One of our favorite days was in Lansing, with no kids. We got to see Kevin and Rachel McAlvey, Brian and Chick Bieber, and Justin and Marguerite Sellers, plus all of their kids. It was great to see them but wished we could have our kids there too (only for about a half hour and then have them magically transported back to their grandparents!)
Here are 2 pics that I'm pulling off of my parent's computer from the time in Holland. Aylah got new pj's from her Nana and Papa and a new vest from her Grandpa and Grandma. The next is me sledding with Aylah. I forgot how much fun it can be. I think part of it is seeing everything new for the first time again as I see the joy in Aylah's face. I think she would have stayed outside all day if we would had let her.
Macy is moving all over now! Crawling, pulling up, and sometimes brave enough to let go of the couch. She is scaring me that she is going to be more mobile now. She even crawled over to the stairs and started crawling up all by herself. Yikes! Good thing we don't have stairs at our house.
I promise to write more once we are back for a week and settled. Right now I'm on Aylah bedtime duty... Happy New Year!

Kinda Tricky

Aylah to Nana and I yesterday when I approached the car after Dawn tried to get Aylah buckled into her car seat... my help was requested to finish the job

"Kinda tricky for Nana, Mommy."

We both laughed hysterically.

Macy finally got her wish for Christmas... her 2 front teeth!
