We have this past Sunday. He/She was wearing a very beautiful dark purple dress with some bright yellow beads and also one (only one) matching bright yellow rubber glove (the kind you wear to wash dishes with. He/She was talking with some police, who had stopped their car in the middle of a road we usually take to get to church. Guess we should have taken public transportation instead J
I went for a walk with Aylah earlier today and passed a dead cat, lying in a box on the sidewalk. I almost threw up. It looked as if only the skin was left and that something had eaten its insides. I told Josh and he told me he saw it this past Sat. in the same spot but that it looked like it still had its insides. Gross! Later today I saw animal control come and pick it up, thank goodness! It was on the sidewalk that the elementary kids walk on to get to New City.
I have a new best friend. It’s name is Oxi Clean. Since one of my love languages is quality time, we get along great. We usually spend some quality time together every evening around 8:00. So if you call and I don’t answer, I’m probably just hanging out with my new BFF.
We can see the New York City skyline from our kitchen window. I was admiring it last night as I stood on our fire escape and grilled some salmon…the sun was glinting off the windows of the skyscrapers and I thought it looked really pretty. So I took some pictures for your enjoyment as well. The 2nd one is of the Empire State Building. And yes we do have our grill on the fire escape but we can still get out and there is no one who lives above us so technically it’s not in anyones way. I’m waiting to get in trouble before we move it.

Macy went to the Dr. this past week for her ears and for her 2 month appointment. She is now 12 pounds, 7 ounces and 24 inches long. She gained 2 ½ pounds and grew 2 inches since last month. I’m about ready to cut off her middle of the night feeding. She is obviously thriving! She is above the 100th percentile in height and is in the 80th for weight. Her hearing is also fine. We had to get it checked since she was born with little holes in her ears where her sinuses didn’t close up all the way. They aren’t a big deal. I have them, my cousin Kirsten has them, and Aylah has them. Sometimes they get infected and you have to have surgery to close them, like I did. But most of the time they pose no problem. So we’ll just wait and see how our girls’ holes are.

They also both like to sleep; Aylah still asks to go night-night after lunch and dinner :) Don't ask how we managed that one because we don't know.
Aylah still enjoys being silly. Spinning and jumping are her current favorites. Here she is early one morning in her pj's showing me her stuff. You can kind of see our living room in this video. I'll put up some apartment pictures soon.
June is shaping up to be a busy month with a possible visit from our friend David from Lansing, Macy and I are traveling to Atlanta so I can be a bridesmaid in my friend Katie's wedding, Josh has the job fair and a staff camping retreat, Aylah's birthday is the 9th..... lots of fun stuff to look forward to!
Macy's hair is what she is known for around here. I can get it to lay down, like in the pic. of her smiling, if I brush right after her bath. Otherwise is sticks straight up and curls. It reminds me of when I first knew Josh and was in love with his brown curls:)

Well, that's long enought for now. Enjoy and I'll write more next weekend.
