Countdown

People have been asking lately how I'm doing. I tell them that I've been on a countdown since day 2.... so if you're wondering I have 7 weeks and a couple days left. But I might have purchsed a package of Newborn diapers this past week in not-so-secret hopes of our little girl coming a little early. I also have brand new Nuks and a can of formula (in case this girl decides not to nurse like Aylah did) So now I'm just waiting. Not really sitting on the couch and watching the time tick by... but excited when another week passes. My doctor says that everything looks great. I've gained 20 pounds so far and am enjoying eating lots of food for the time being! We have to wait until the last 2 weeks or so to have our ultrasound that will determine if my placenta is too low or not. If it is then I'll have to have another c-section but I'm hoping it moved up and I can have a natural birth.

We had a great time in Michigan for vacation. Three weeks was just a little too much time to be gone for Aylah and I. At the end we were both wishing for our own beds and the solitude of our home. Even our extroverted daughter had had enough of people. And Aylah was also teething the last week we were there... 2 new ones on the bottom, complete with sleepless nights and lots of drool and a crabby attitude. Too bad Josh missed out on it ;) But we loved being there nonetheless.

Josh and Aylah and I saw lots of friends and spent time in both Traverse City and Holland. We took some fun Christmas photos that I'll put up along with a video of Aylah sledding with her Nana.

Aylah and I playing dress-up one morning, keeping warm inside from the cold, rainy day outside. (hence the ladybug rainhat and sunglasses.)

Aylah loves trucks and was very excited about the dumptruck her Aunt Marie gave her.

Aylah playing with a new bathtoy from her Grandpa and Grandma. She has played with it every night since she got it. She loves it because it sings and she can dance to it.

Aylah got a huge bag of blocks from her Uncle Jonah, Aunt Liz, and Cousin Ella. She was so excited and dumped them all out. It didn't take long for her to start building and for her Daddy and Papa to join in on the building.

Aylah loved playing in the snow! She loved sledding the most!
