Taking a Break
This is just our official family notification that the Dornbos' will be taking a break from our blogsite until after the New Year. Andrea and Aylah flew into MI on Monday the 15th. Josh will be joining them hopefully the 20th. Then we will hop around the state to such exotic places as Lansing, Holland, Traverse City, Muskegon, Grand Haven.... and probably more. So if you would like to catch us, give us a call and we'll hopefully be able to arrange a time to see you. Josh will return to NJ on the 1st and Andrea and Aylah on the 5th. Then I'm sure there will be some fun Holiday photos to post.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thanksgiving!
We had a great Thanksgiving this year. Justin and Marguerite Sellers, friends from MI, drove all the way out to see us. Marguerite and I managed to create a pretty yummy feast. This was my first turkey and I was very nervous. It was 19 pounds! I know, a little excessive for only 4 people, but I could pick out any turkey for free up to 21 pounds, so why not!
Here is a pic. of Marguerite and I (and 27 week old baby). We were quite proud.
Aylah ready to chow down and eat. (We only have 4 chairs so she was relegated to the floor)
Our Thanksgiving Feast before we ate.
MMMM, yummy turkey. Not quite done yet but I got excited to take a picture.
So we basically ate lots of food, took a few walks to show the Sellers around our neighborhood and city and spent a day in New York City. We had a great time and were glad we could spend the holiday with people we loved. I wasn't feeling any homesickness, I think because we had such great company. I am excited to head to MI on the 15th, though, to spend some extra time with my family and see a certain very great friend of mine who I haven't seen since August 2007!

Josh just laughed and was like "yeah right." But then I walked in and noticed that she really did smell. So this was the first time Aylah announced to us she needed a diaper change. She also has a new favorite word "NO." Josh likes to ask her things like "Do you want a cookie?" "Do you want money?" "Do you want a car?" "Do you want a boyfriend?" And she always answers, "No." He jokes that he needs to get all of it down in writing.
